dry and damaged skin

Dealing with dry and damaged skin can be difficult for anyone but with good skin care techniques and avoiding chemicals and preservatives in your skin care products then achieving beautiful radiant skin can be a reality for many people.

If you currently suffer from problem skin such as rosacea then you will know how dry and damaged your skin can cause social and psychological problems, especially if you leave it untreated.

Rosacea sufferers can be left with redness on the cheeks, forehead, nose and chin. Small blood vessels can be visible on the face with pimples covering  parts of the face.

A flawless complexion is something that everyone wants but unless you take care of your skin then this can often just be a wish.

Your skin can take such a beating these days as it has to deal with so many polluting elements, some you can avoid including (such as a poor diet, too much alcohol and harsh chemicals in products) but there are other elements that you can’t control including the hot and cold weather and life’s everyday stresses and strains.

One of the main factors of dry and damaged skin is the weather; your skin can become much dryer in the winter months which can lead to many skin problems. Central heating and air conditioning in your home and office can also contribute to your skin problems. Although a lot of people enjoy extra hot baths and showers the hot water can play havoc with your skin too.

Premature ageing can be a result of dry and damaged skin but there are a wide variety of creams and lotions that contain natural or organic ingredients that can be used to help combat this. They can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles whilst nourishing your skin with wholesome ingredients.

Zenmed AVT Cream will help revamp and improve the texture of your skin not only if you suffer from rosacea but also premature ageing. It contains skin boosting peptides, Hyaluronic Acid and natural oils to help pump moisture back into your skin.

This cream is the perfect antidote to damaged skin tissue.

This product doesn’t contain any harsh ingredients so is gentle on damaged skin and it isn’t tested on animals.

Skin care products that contain Topical Vitamin A are also known to help treat damaged and dry skin, they can also be used if you are an acne sufferer.

If you like to use swimming pools this can also cause problems with your skin as the chlorine that is used in the pools can cause premature ageing over time.

Chlorine can strip your skin of its natural oils which can cause dry and damaged skin.

Avoiding chlorine can be difficult when you enjoy swimming in pools but you can help combat the damage by taking a luke warm shower after you have finished. A hot shower will open your skins pores and allow the chlorine to seep into your skin causing skin damage.

Harsh detergents and soaps should always be avoided if you want beautiful radiant skin. These products irritate your skin which can lead to further problems of dryness and cracking.

As you can see there are many ways you can avoid dry and damaged skin, it certainly isn’t something that you have to live with on a daily basis.

I never thought swimming can cause premature aging. I love to swim. It’s the exercise that I enjoy best and I do it at least 4 times a day. Thanks for sharing the hot shower tip. I’ll definitely start doing that. And I’ll be more liberal with my moisturizer from now on.
