Food is the fuel that keeps you alive and when you give your body the right type of foods it responds in a positive way.

A diet that is full of sugary, high fat and processed foods is extremely damaging to your internal health and can equally have a negative effect on your external health too; your skin.

healthy eating for healthy skin

If you don’t follow a healthy eating diet then instead of bright, blemish free, glowing skin you will end up with greasy acne prone skin, full of blemishes, pimples, and more skin problems than you care to imagine.

A nutritious wholesome diet is something you should be following on a daily basis. For radiant, problem free skin your daily diet should contain foods in their natural state, free from any chemicals and man-made preservatives.

Processed foods can have a detrimental effect on your skin as your body finds them extremely difficult to digest and your skin is one of the main areas it affects, and can cause skin eruptions.

Natural foods are loaded with vitamins and nutrients that are essential to your skins health.

Vitamin A which can be found in egg yolks, green and orange fruits, vegetables and dairy products can help your skin from becoming dry, scaly and rough which is ideal if you are suffering with eczema.

Essential fatty acids are found in vegetable oils, nuts, seeds and fatty fish support cell membrane health and should be eaten by anyone wanting to keep their skin healthy.

Selenium is also an incredible nutrient for skin which can be found in mushrooms, nuts, whole grains and onions. Many types of fish are also an excellent choice of food for skin health.

Your diet should contain (organic) fruit and vegetables, lean (grass fed) red meats, (non-farmed) oily fish, (organic) white meats and legumes. Avoid drinking too much caffeine, alcohol and steer clear of pore clogging sodas too!

Your diet can either hinder or help your complexion; watch your food choices if you really do want skin perfection.

I agree with this article. I removed processed food from my diet last year. I noticed an improvement in my health, and not only that, my skin began to look healthier. Eating natural food is definitely the way to go.
