OMG - I have just eaten the best thing ever!  I got the suggestion from watching the food network and made it my own.  This is so easy, so healthy, and so tasty – you have to try it!

Freeze a few bananas – I tend to have a bunch in the freezer anyway because I always buy them with the intentions of eating one a day but then they turn brown.  Anyway, take out 2-3 and cut them up.  Put into your food processor (a blender would probably work just as well) and pulse until they are almost chopped up.    This by itself is totally yummy!  Frozen whipped bananas have the same texture as ice cream - seriously!!

I like to add a spoonful of peanut butter and a drizzle of honey and whip a bit more.   Peanut butter – try to choose a natural kind – is very good for you and honey is a great natural sweetener.  And you get a yummy PB and banana concoction that is a GREAT substitution for ice cream!  You can even make a big batch and put back in the freezer to pull out anytime.

My fiancé tried this and instead of peanut butter, he added some chocolate syrup – you don’t need too much so it’s still pretty healthy.   And we discussed trying strawberries or blueberries in the future.
