grape seed oil natural ingredientsGrape seed oil has been well known to massage therapists for many years as a natural oil to use on the skin. Although it is not the perfect oil to use for aromatherapy massage, it is a fantastic oil because it has such amazing moisturizing benefits.

This powerful oil has recently come further into the limelight as an effective skin moisturizer because the American actress Emma Stone stated in her Style.com interview that she only uses grapeseed oil on her skin as she’s ‘seriously allergic to anything else’.

Emma Stone has also now become the global brand ambassador for the makeup and beauty brand Revlon.

Having recently had movie success in The Help and now starring in the new film The Amazing Spider Man, Emma has really come into the spotlight and seems like the ideal advocate for natural skin care products.

Grape seed oil is good for all skin types but especially helpful for people with rosacea and here’s why…

Cold pressed grape seed oil has been used for centuries. The medicinal benefits from the leaves, stems and seeds have been known to help treat a huge number of skin care and circulatory issues including varicose veins, spider veins, haemorrhoids and rosacea.

Grapeseed oil contains;

Polyphenols (antioxidents) – Fights free radicals which helps to keep pores clear and prevents breakouts

Linoleic acid (CLA) – Boosts the activity of skin cells and provides proteins which help provide elasticity to the skin

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) - Boosts the growth of cells and blood vessels, aids skin repair; helps to provide skin with strength, firmness and protect from UV rays.

Grape seed oil also contains vitamin E which is an excellent skin moisturiser which helps to lock moisture into the skin.

The oil absorbs very quickly into the skin which makes it an ideal natural skin care product for all skin types because it is naturally hypoallergenic.
