Oily skin is one of the most common complaints we hear about from people wanting to switch to ZENMED from their existing skincare brands. Removing oil from the face, in the form of a cleanser made for oily skin specifically, does not make oil go away permanently. In fact, the body is smarter than that and in turn may start producing MORE oil to compensate for the loss. Oily skin can be caused by a variety of reasons (genetic predisposition, hormones, humidity, sweating, makeup), but getting rid of it is not the simple solution to having clear skin. The pH of the skin must be balanced as well as surface bacteria killed. And oily skin is the perfect magnet for dirt and bacteria due to its stickiness.
