Makeup and Acne, what is the relationship

Do you love to wear makeup, but are concerned that it will contribute to acne?  If so, you may be partially right, makeup may contribute to acne if you do not clean your skin correctly, but makeup does not cause acne within itself.

There are some women who swear that the makeup they use makes their skin break out, and this may be true. Certain products can contribute to the break out of women’s skin because of the ingredients that some of the makeup can contain.

However, this is not something that will occur to all women when they wear makeup.  These types of break outs are very individualized and occur to certain women when they wear certain types of makeup.  These break outs occur because the ingredients that are in a product irritate the person’s skin that is wearing it. Another woman may wear the exact same makeup and it may not break out her skin at all.

This is why it is a good idea for all women to experiment with various makeup products to help them find them the best makeup product to avoid break outs.  When you find a product you can use without irritation to the skin, you should stick to it because; ultimately it may be hard to find the best product for you.

One way for women to help eliminate makeup break outs is to look for foundations  that are not thick and creamy. The makeup products that normally trigger these break outs are loaded with ingredients that are full of oils if they are thick and creamy, so these should be avoided.

The best type of makeup for most women to use is one that is water based and of a thinner quality than some of the ones that are very thick and geared toward dry skin.

Once you find the best product for you, it is important to do the following listed below to help protect your skin from breakouts:

1.  To prevent acne from makeup you must maintain a healthy skin care regimen. It is very important to take care of you skin prior to wearing makeup and this will go a very long way in helping you to prevent acne.

2.  In order to avoid acne, you should clean your skin at least twice a day, we recommend Derma Cleanse Products from ZENMED. The best times to do this is in the morning and in the evening.  Also, if you do wear makeup, you must make certain that you clean your skin extra good to get all the makeup off, especially at night before you go to bed.

3.  Also, as you wash your face, do so with cold or lukewarm water. Hot water may open your pores and let bacteria in, so in order to avoid that you should use cold or lukewarm water.

Any woman can wear makeup with confidence that it will not cause acne if she chooses the right product and keeps the skin in good condition daily.
