The winter months may be upon us but that doesn’t mean you should be avoiding sunscreen protection. Although the ultraviolet B (UVB), the sunburn rays are not as powerful in the winter as they are in the summer months, ultraviolet A (UVA) radiation responsible for premature aging and wrinkles are constant and be found at any time of the year. These can lead to skin cancers, photo aging, and several inflammatory conditions caused or worsened by the sun.
If you are thinking of going skiing or you live in an area that has a high percentage of snow falls each year then please bear this in mind, the snow reflects 80% of the sun’s UV rays back at your skin when you are exposed to it for long periods of time. The snow can do just as much damage to your skin as you lying on a beach for an hour. Always wear a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher to give your skin the best protection.

It is definitely a good idea to use not just a good sunscreen protection but also protective clothing such as hats and sunglasses. You should also avoid the midday sun which can have dangerous effects on your skin.
Whether its winter or summer, sunscreen protection should be worn every day even if you are only exposed to the sun for 15 minutes; don’t take a chance and let those harmful rays damage your skin permanently.
